About Dom Liberati

Dom Liberati delivers bass driven anthem rock with an earnest and fresh approach. His infectious, stadium-sized hooks are reinforced by sharp, jangly guitars and pocket-heavy grooves. The former Academic All American Quarterback with small town charm, good looks and sensitive worldview maintains his uniqueness as a stand out bassist with commanding stage presence and an unforgettable, Midwestern-flared rock voice. Combining the pop sensibility of The Police and U2, the raw grit of Foo Fighters, the hopeful, confessional lyricism of Switchfoot and the anthemic energy of Bruce Springsteen, Liberati’s unique soundscape pays homage to some of his biggest influences. In late 2009, Dom relocated to Los Angeles from his Ohio homefront, when his original song “Love Holds It Down” appeared on the hugely successful Guitar Hero franchise (Guitar Hero 5, Band Hero). He spent the next two years writing, performing, and facing self-exploration from which his second album was born. Liberati’s 2011 release The Good Hurt delivered an accomplished collection of songs about life, love, and the struggle to make sense of them both. Produced almost entirely by Liberati, the album featured collaborations with Grammy winning co-producers The Daylights and Grammy nominated producer Michael Linney (Ke$ha, Jordan Knight, Jason Derulo). In late 2011, Dom’s first official music video was released and “We Own The Night” went on to win two Los Angeles Movie Awards. The video received “Best Editing” and “The Award of Excellence.” Extensive touring followed through 2012, along with two more music videos for singles “Next to You” and “Walk” later in July 2013. Liberati’s creative collaborations run across the board. He has written and recorded with Grammy winning songwriter Sunny Hilden (Sting, Ray Charles, David Archuleta), YouTube pop sensation Karmin, Cody Simpson, and the Tiesto-favored DJ Fei-Fei. He has shared the stage with an eclectic range of acts spanning from Kitten, Run River North, and The Mowgli's to Tyrese, Ludacris, and Stevie Wonder. When not touring or performing iconic L.A. venues such as The Troubadour, The Hotel Café, Viper Room, House of Blues on Sunset Strip, and The Roxy, Dom has been writing music for several different TV shows (Access Hollywood, MTV’S True Life and Catfish). He made his first international tour run in Japan in February 2013, followed by his debut at the SXSW Festival in Austin, TX, and a performance at Dodgers Stadium in Summer 2014. Liberati’s single “You Still Haunt Me” was selected for New York Times Bestselling author Kami Garcia’s (Beautiful Creatures) promo trailer for Unbreakable, which premiered on MTV. “You Still Haunt Me” along with other single “Goodbye Summer” collectively poised Liberati’s fans for Shadow Chasing, released Fall 2014. The EP bundle featured 7 tracks and 3 music videos. Liberati is currently in the studio crafting his next full length release, as well as prepping a 2015 release with new indie pop group TIDES. www.domliberati.com
